About
Monhec Construction was founded in 2021 with a straightforward approach to residential remodeling: listen to homeowners, respect their property, and stand behind the work we complete. Behind our company is more than 40 years of construction experience, giving us the knowledge to take on projects throughout the home while keeping each homeowner’s needs at the center of the process.
We help families repair worn areas, rethink outdated layouts, gain more usable space, and make improvements that better fit everyday life. Kitchen and bathroom remodels are an important part of what we do, along with additions, basement remodeling, decks, roofing, siding, windows, flooring, painting, fencing, gutters, hardscaping, landscape design, and other interior and exterior projects.
For us, the way we work matters just as much as the finished project. We treat your home and job site with the same consideration we would want shown in our own homes. That means taking time to understand your plans, respecting the space while work is underway, and focusing on your satisfaction from the initial conversation through completion.
We are fully licensed and insured and EPA Lead-Certified. Depending on project size, same-day estimates may be available. We also handle required building permits and can assist with applicable insurance claims, helping take some of the logistical work off your plate. Available craftsmanship warranties range from 20 years to a lifetime depending on the project.
Whether you have one room that no longer works for your family or several improvements in mind, we’re ready to hear what you want to accomplish. We proudly work with residential homeowners throughout Des Moines and surrounding areas.
Our Values
Respect for Your Home
Inviting a construction crew into your home requires trust. We take that responsibility seriously by approaching each property as though we were working on our own homes. That mindset shapes how we listen to your ideas, plan the work, and conduct ourselves at the job site. Your home is where daily routines happen, families spend time together, and memories are made, so the work we perform should respect the space around it.
Our goal is to make improvements without losing sight of what the property means to you. Whether we are remodeling a bathroom, updating a kitchen, building an addition, or completing exterior work, we keep your goals at the center of the project. We want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing what matters to you. Careful workmanship and respect for your property are not extras in our process. They are part of how we believe residential construction should be handled.
Good craftsmanship should continue to matter after the tools are put away. Our team brings more than 40 years of construction experience to residential projects, using that background to approach each job thoughtfully and with attention to the work being completed. We focus on giving homeowners improvements they can feel good about using every day.
We also believe standing behind our craftsmanship matters. Depending on the project, craftsmanship warranties ranging from 20 years to a lifetime are available. We are fully licensed and insured and EPA Lead-Certified, adding meaningful credentials behind the work we perform.
Our experience covers a wide variety of interior and exterior home challenges. That gives homeowners one team to consider for everything from remodeling outdated rooms and expanding living space to addressing roofing, siding, windows, flooring, and outdoor projects. Whatever we are working on, our aim remains the same: complete the project with care and keep customer satisfaction at the forefront.
Home improvement involves more than selecting finishes or deciding what you want a room to look like. Permits, estimates, insurance claims, and other project details can add another layer to the process. We work to make those responsibilities easier to manage wherever our services apply.
Every project can begin with a free in-home consultation, giving us an opportunity to see the property and hear directly from you about what you want to accomplish. Depending on the size of the project, same-day estimates may also be available. When building or construction permits are required, we handle them on your behalf. If your project involves an applicable insurance claim, we can assist with that process as well.
We keep communication conversational and straightforward because homeowners should be able to understand what is happening with their property. You bring us the challenge or idea. We listen, discuss the project with you, and help work through the construction details that follow.
